Perfect Black Fall Boots

Honestly I am not that sad that summer is somewhat over. Don't get me wrong, I love the sun and wearing cute summer dresses, but I also love autumn with it's colourful leafs and drinking hot chocolate. An advantage of changing to another season is to shop! I am on the search for some new boots to survive the fall. I think I found the perfect pair at Zara. They are stylish, classy yet casual.

Or these one from H&M. They are cute, simple and will go with almost every outfit. I will let you know for which one I will go, but in the meantime, which one is your favourite?

Perfect getaway: The Hamptons

Welcome to the Hamptons! The pretty place where you escape to if you are a busy (and loaded) New Yorker. I have never visited this place, but if the opportunity is there I would love to. Novelist Holly Peterson gives us a peek into her Hampton's beach house which is decorated in bright colours with influences from the beach and nature. I love how every room is quite colourful yet it also feels peaceful. It is the perfect getaway to relax in the weekend. Talking about the weekend, how is everyone's weekend so far?

Pretty Pink Lips

Todays' theme: Pink! These are my 5 favourite pinkish lipsticks at the moment.

First we have the Revolution Perfect Lipstick colour R12 from Flormar. On the picture this one looks like it is red, but in reality it is a dark pink matte lipstick. I love this budget matte lipstick while it doesn't dry out your lips and is quite long-lasting.

& Other Stories - Calamanco Coral. About this lipstick I already wrote a review. It is not really pink, not really coral and not really red...are you still following it haha.. It is lovely and very affordable.

Revlon Colour Burst Matte Balm - 220 Showy. The colour of this one is a very cute and sweet pink. It is light pink and perfect for every day. I love that it is matte, I think I go for matte lipsticks more and more nowadays.

Catrice Metallure - C02 Alluring Pink. Compared to the lipstick of Flormar, this one is slighter darker pink and has a touch of red in it. I just bought it recently and I'm very happy with it. Again a great budget lipstick!

YSL - Rouge Volupte 33 Rose Neillia. The only high end lipstick in my pink favourites. This one is a combination of pink, rose and coral. I love this lipstick. It is very long lasting and creamy. Definitely worth if you are looking for a more high end pink lipstick.

I honestly can't pick a favourite. They are all gorgeous and each lipstick has its own occasion to wear it with. Do you have a favourite pinkish lipstick? Tell me!

Exciting New TV shows 2014

Sometimes I watch too many TV shows and can't keep up with it. But I am always interested in new TV shows! I think there are a few interesting new ones which are definitely worth watching!

First of all Gotham. I love Ben McKenzie from The O.C. and I am happy that he is in this show. I am really looking forward to see him in the role of young James Gordon. The premiere is scheduled at 22 September.

Then we have Marvel’s Agent Carter. A TV show with a women in the lead! This is a drama show where Peggy Carter (Haley Atwell) has a double life with working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve) doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark. Unfortunately this show doesn't premiere until January 2015, but it sounds exciting!

Astronaut Wives Club sounds interesting and I was interested while the show is written and produced by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. The show is telling the real story of the women behind some of America’s biggest heroes during the 1960s space race. Due to changes the show premieres in July 2015 instead of July 2014...hopefully it is worth the wait!

Another show which caught my attention is How to Get Away with Murder from Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. I am a huge fan of Shonda Rhimes while her writing is fantastic! This shows is more a thriller that centers on ambitious law students and their brilliant and mysterious criminal defence professor. Season 1 will start 25th September.

Battle Creek is a show created by Vince Gilligan (also from Breaking Bad, so it can’t  go wrong and David Shore (House). The show seems promising while one serie is already picked up. Two detectives with very different world views must team up to clean up the streets of Battle Creek.

Yay! Katherine Heigl makes her return to TV in the show State of Affairs. I love her! In this show show she will be playing a CIA officer who becomes the President’s daily briefer. Tune in on November 17!

Of course I like comedies as well and it seems like there are a few new ones to give a try! Are you excited for the new television season? Have a lovely Wednesday!

I love you New York!

Since I was about 11 years old I am crazy about New York. I collected pictures, news articles and saved money to visit this fabulous city. Sometimes people ask me why I am so fond of such a big city. I can totally understand that some think it is loud, dirty, too busy and not their cup of tea, but for me it is something I can't describe, I just love the city! Perhaps this quote says it all:

What is your favourite city or country in the world? Have a great Monday!

Cambridge Satchel Fall 2014

I love my Cambridge Satchel! I had mine last year I am really happy with it. I had it personalised with my initials which I absolutely love! It gives something extra to your already fabulous bag.

For Fall 2014, The Cambridge Satchel company designed a few new items in fabulous fall colours. These are my favourites, especially the 11" satchel in Aubergine colour, which is such a nice colour for fall.

Medium Twist Lock Satchel in Flame Orange and Hot Pink

The Mini Satchel in Peach Pink

The 11" Satchel in Aubergine

The 11" Black Satchel with Leopard Haircalf Pocket

Check out their website for more bags from their fall collection. I hope to go to London by the end of the year and perhaps I will buy another Cambridge Satchel to add to my neverending handbag collection. Have a great Friday!

Lovely Lush Products

I stopped by Lush the other day and picked up a few things which I want to share with you today!

Bubblegum Lipscrub
First of all this lipscrub in the delicious flavour bubblegum. I read about this lip scrub on the blog of my blogger friend Kim and after her review I got enthusiastic about the product. It really makes your lips more soft and the smell and taste is delicious! Use it once or twice per week and your lips are smooth and ready to go!

Eau Roma Water Toner
I repurchased this toner for the third time while I am crazy about it! After cleaning my face I use this toner to hydrate and protect it. One of the ingredients is rosewater which smells great and will calm your skin. The toner is for sensitive skins however it works also fine for my combination skin. You can also use it as a refreshing mist during the day.

R&B Hairmoisturiser
Dealing with natural curly hair requires the right products to control the frizz. I am always on the hunt for these kind of products an I think I found a really good one! This is a leave-in conditioner. You don't wash it out after you apply it in your hair. The ends of my curls are always somewhat frizzy but with this moisturizer it gets all shiny and smooth! I am so happy with this! I highly recommend it when you are dealing with natural curls!

What do you think of the products of Lush? Are you also a big fan?

Budget Lookalike Bags

There was no love on first sight with this Mansur Gavriel Bucket Bag. The model didn't attract me that much and it remembered me of the woven bucket bags I had when I was younger. However, after browsing on their website I started to get more and more interested in this bag and also the rest of the collection. Honestly, I wouldn't spend 350,00 on it, I rather save my money for a bag I really really want. Therefore I started to search for a lookalike of the bucket bag and found this one from H&M which retails for 39,99. Of course you will notice a big difference of material and finishing, but it is a great second option if you don't want to spend that much money. What do you think, do you like the lookalike or will you go for the original one?

Have a great day!
